Portable Abrasive Blasters:

Portable Abrasive Blaster Equipments Model K-PORT can be carried for on-site cleaning of towers, bridges, steel structures, buildings and monuments, heavy forged & die cast components, pipes, tanks and other large size components. The operation is also performed on glass, ceramics, plastic, wood, stone for surfece etching, and on metal surfaces prior to painting, powder coating or metallizing. Variety of media can be used as abrasives for different applications and finish.

K-PORT blast cleans in open, where the issuing abrasives and dust is rebounded after hitting the component. The abrasive has to be reclaimed for recycling manually or by our grit recovery units. K-Port is a low cost equipment, easy to carry, best suited to clean components of varying size and large structures at site. Operator is recommended to wear a set of safety wears that are supplied (as optional) with K-PORT The equipment has following key features:

Abrasive Pressure Tank: Abrasive Pressure Tank or Presser Vessel is fabricated from 6 mm thick IS : 2062 weldable grade MS sheet. It is designed and fabricated according to IS : 2825 and hydraulically tested at 250 psi during manufacturing. Recommended working pressure is 100 psi maximum.

Blast Hose: The Blast Hose is a best quality Abrasive Sand Blasting Hose conforming to IS : 5894. The blast hose made of high abrasion resistance neoprene rubber, reinforced with high tenacity synthetic yarn for longer life, and static wire braided for antistatic operation. It is highly flexibility with lower bend radius and lightweight for safe operation.

Blast Nozzle: The blast nozzle is made of Tungsten Carbide lined convergent-divergent nozzle inserts made in according to standard designs, for high velocity blast cleaning operation. Boron Carbide Nozzles are also available on request. The nozzle orifice is selected to choose wider blast pattern and high production output.

Automatic Tank Sealing: The abrasive tank is automatically pressure sealed by a mushroom valve fitment as soon the blasting is switched ON. The mushroom valve is lowered automatically when tank is de-pressurised, facilitating re-filling of blast media.

Exhaust Valve: The abrasive tank is exhausted by air vent exhaust valve, thus de-pressurising the pressure vessel when blasting is stopped.

Remote Control Valve: A remote control valve is fitted (optional, in remote operated models only) to facilitate blasting ON/OFF control in hands of operator. The operator presses a dead-man lever to switch On the machine. The blasting automatically stops and tank is de-pressurised if lever is released, thus providing additional safety to operator.

Air Filter & Pressure gauge: Provided in air line as standard fitments.

Choke Valve: Provided to shut off and release pressurised air instantly in order to clear hose chocking if any, during operation.

Pinch Valve: Provided to regulate the abrasive quantity feed in mixing tube assembly for appropriate air-abrasive flow and to avoid abrasive chocking in blast hose.

Mixing Tube Assembly: Provides proper air-abrasive mixing to facilitate free flow of media to blast nozzle. It is fitted with a mixing tube, abrasive nipple and necessary fitments.

Nozzle Holder: It is an attachment fitted with blast hose provided for fitment with blast nozzle.
