Shot Peening Machines:
Shot Peening is the process of inducing residual compressive stress on the surface of mechanical components.
Components like Turbine blades, springs, pins, shafts, crankshafts, Aircraft link rods, connecting rods, leaf springs, gear wheels etc. are subjected to cyclic load conditions and repeatedly undergo tensile and compressive stresses during the operation. This leads to propagation of cracks present in the material and ultimately may lead to fatigue failure of such component. Inducing of residual compressive stresses on surface tends to increases the fatigue life of component. Thus the fatigue life and stress corrosion resistance properties of shot peened parts gets enhanced.
'Kushal Shot Blasting Equipments' design and manufactures Shot Peening Machines to suit component size and specific requirements. The main features include shot flow control, shot classification, and control of process parameters to achieve desired peening intensity and coverage, with repeat accuracy and consistency.
